In India 66% of the employed male and 84% of the employed females were engaged in agriculture sector in rural area. The annual growth rate of agricultures, forestry and fishing mining and quarrying 2001-02 to 2005-06 are 0.2,5.8, -5.6,9.6,1.2 and 2.3 percentage at 1999-2000 price where as GDP for it period are 4.4,5.8,3.8,8.5,7.5 and 8.1 respectively. its shows the importance of agriculture? The comprehensive planning and management for agriculture is very much essential for development.
